Who?

Kachchhmitra District Community Science Center was established on 2006 and which is the only organisation working in the area of science popularization. The center has organized many workshops, seminars, and summer camps to increase the science temperament in students and gerenal public. The center has been accrediated by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST) in 2008.

Mission

To popularize planetary science, solar physics, astrophysical and allied subjects by organizing short courses, conferences, symposia, seminars and workshops for students, teachers, researchers and general public. To create scientific temper and nurture interest amongst the young minds for scientific research. Doing Research in astrophysics and allied subjects.

Offerings

Kutchmitra Community Science Center is a well-equiped community science center with powerful telescopes for stargazing, various scientific & mathematical models, huge library, mini planeterium, science exibition, etc. We also arrange summer camps, model rocketry workshops, nature walk/ camps, bird watching, various seminars on science and allied subjects, Sunday Science School, etc. We also visit schools and colleges to conduct workshops and seminars of various levels. We also follow the directions given by GUJCOST to organize various activities, such as “Vigyan Safar”.
